This web site sets out some facets in the life of St. Matthias Church. We are an integral part of the wider Anglican Church of Canada. This association is very important to us and brings about certain deep rooted characteristics of our church life and the way we do things, generally falling under the umbrella of "Anglicanism". If you are a newcomer, this web site is intended to let you know us better - who we are, where we come from, and how we operate the church. You are invited to become part of this enriching experience by participating in the worship and life of St. Matthias.

Who we are is summed up in our mission statement:

“Lifting Up Christ, Building Up People.”

We welcome you to St. Matthias and we pray that you will find a church home here. Our Sunday worship is a primary focus of our community.

At 8.30am we use the traditional Book of Common Prayer on odd-numbered Sundays and the contemporary Book of Alternative Services on even-numbered Sundays. Our 10:00am services are usually a service of Holy Eucharist (Communion) from the Book of Alternative Services.

We pray that you will find that our worship deepens your faith and enables you to live out that faith in the world.

Worship times:

Sunday 8:30am and 10:00am at (both services are approximately 1 hour each)

St. Matthias is not just a church building, but a community of believers. As the family of God we come together to thank God for our life and to endeavor to serve God in all that we do. We also help our children try and understand what the "love of God" means. Why don't you make a commitment and worship with us for a period of time and I will be prepared to discuss with you your experience and feelings about God and our community. We would love to serve you.
