Thanks for checking out St. Matthias Anglican Church (StMAC), part of the worldwide Anglican Communion - about 80 million strong right around the world. Here in Canada, we are part of the Anglican Church of Canada and a parish of the Anglican Diocese of Edmonton.
You are welcome to come and worship with us whether you grew up Anglican or are interested in the Christian faith. We welcome your presence, your questions, and your imperfections, no matter who you are.
Who we are is summed up in our mission statement:
“Following Jesus, Serving His People”
As we welcome you to StMAC, it is our hope and prayer that you will find a church home here. Our Sunday worship is a primary focus of our community:
At 8.30am we use the traditional Book of Common Prayer on odd-numbered Sundays and the contemporary Book of Alternative Services on even-numbered Sundays. Our 10:00am services are usually a service of Holy Eucharist (Communion) from the Book of Alternative Services.
We pray that you will find that our worship deepens your faith and enables you to carry that renewed and strengthened faith in our world.
StMAC is not a church building, but a community of believers. As beloved children of God we come
together to thank Him for our life, for the gift of Jesus His Son, and to endeavor to serve Him in all that we do.
